Five Fun Christmas Party Ideas
By Joyce

Christmas is always a wonderful time to reconnect with family and
friends that you have not seen in awhile and may be a excellent time to
throw a party. If you are stumped on generating Christmas party ideas,
here are five fun favorites.
White Elephant Party
At a white elephant party, each guest brings a wrapped item that they
have already have at home (a good excuse for re-gifting.) Every guest is
selects a number. They then select one Christmas gift in order of the
number drawn. As each person's turn comes up, they have the choice to
either choose a wrapped gift or to "steal" one of those already open.
After everybody has had a turn, the primary person to decide on gets one
last chance to steal a gift or keep what they have.
The game will be hilarious, however in order to stay the "steals" from
obtaining out of control, set a limit on how several times it will be
stolen. We have a tendency to normally set a limit of two steals and
then it can not be stolen again.
Christmas Cookie Decorating Party
One Christmas tradition our family had was decorating Christmas sugar
cookies. This could be a fun Christmas party as well. Bake the sugar
cookies ahead of your time in several different shapes. Prepare a few
different colours of icing and get a variety of sprinkles. A few
additional things to have on hand are paper plates for the guests to put
their finished cookies on, plastic wrap to cover the plates to take
home, and warm drinks.
Guests will have fun decorating their cookies and will have a sweet
reminder to take home with them.
Christmas Caroling Party
Spread Christmas cheer to your whole neighborhood by holding a Christmas
caroling party. In preparation, select eight to ten Christmas carols and
print the lyrics out on sheets, enough so that each person will have
one.
If you wish for an authentic Dickensian look, ask your guests to wear
stocking caps, scarves and gloves. Whip up fast and easy candle holders
by poking a hole in a paper plate and sliding the candle through.
Afterwards, everyone will meet back at your house for appetizers and
drinks.
Christmas Card Making Party
Receiving a handmade Christmas card is usually a special treat. Gather
your friends together for a holiday crafting time and make Christmas
cards. The cards will either be made for private use, or designate an
outreach close to your heart. The cards might be taken to a nursing
home, childrens' hospital ward, or sent to the troops.
You may to design your own card, or card creating kits are also
available.
Tree Trimming Party
One final Christmas party plan is an recent vacation favorite, a tree
trimming party. To prepare, have your tree on a stand and all of your
decorations in groups by type: lights, garland, ornaments, etc. This
will be simple for your guests to move from one type of decoration to
the next.
Drinks and light-weight snacks will be a welcome addition to the party.
Be certain that the food served is straightforward to eat with minimal
mess. Add in Christmas music and you will be set for a merry Christmas.
The Christmas season is the right time for entertaining. With a little
creativity and coming up with, you may have a Christmas party to
remember.
